Second Apartment of Zschäpe, Mundlos and Böhnhardt

In February 1998, Uwe Mundlos, Uwe Böhnhardt and Beate Zschäpe were able to move from Friedrich-Viertel-Straße 85 into Max-Florian B.’s apartment at Limbacher Straße 96. There they made, among other things, copies of the racist “Pogromly game,” which was later sold within the far-right scene.
The apartment was arranged through various contact persons. Thomas S. first established contact with Gunther F. and his twin brother A.F., both of whom were known for their connections within the “CC88” structures and regularly attended far-right scene concerts. They intended to place Beate Zschäpe, Uwe Mundlos and Uwe Böhnhardt with Mandy S. Mandy S. ultimately arranged the contact to the apartment on Limbacher Straße, the apartment of her then-boyfriend Max-Florian B.
Gunther F. reportedly visited the trio there several times. He also provided Uwe Böhnhardt with his identity card, which Böhnhardt used to have a passport made. According to Gunther F.’s own account, he later asked for it back; however, the discovery of a note recording biographical data of the F. family at Frühlingsstraße in Zwickau — the trio’s residence between 2008 and 2011 — suggests that the alias identity “F.” continued to be used by Böhnhardt or Mundlos.
The name Mandy S. was likewise used as an alias while the trio lived underground. Mandy S. also arranged contact with the neo-Nazi André E. and made her alias identity available to Beate Zschäpe for use of her health insurance card for a gynaecological examination, for table tennis club cards, and for two cat vaccination records.
