Beate Zschäpe used a forged “membership card” of the “Tennisclub Großgründlach e.V.” at Würzburger Str. 63 in Nürnberg. The card bore a photo of Beate Zschäpe wearing tinted glasses. Zschäpe’s cover name was Mandy S.; the address given as her cover address was that of Mandy S. in the Glückaufsiedlung in Erla, Saxony. Mandy S. was a neo-Nazi originally from Saxony. From 2002 to 2003 she lived in Büchenbach in the district of Roth near Nürnberg and maintained contacts with the Franconian neo-Nazi scene and the NSU’s circle. Among other things, Mandy S. arranged a hideout for the later NSU trio in an apartment in Chemnitz after their flight at the end of January 1998. Beate Zschäpe used the name of Mandy S. as a cover name in various documents. Mandy S., who no longer lives in Franconia, has for years been the subject of an ongoing criminal investigation in connection with the NSU crimes on suspicion of supporting a terrorist organization.
