Robbery of a Post Office Branch

The third robbery attributed to the NSU’s core trio took place on 27 October 1999. Böhnhardt and Mundlos raided a post office branch at Limbacher Straße 148 in Chemnitz. They threatened staff with firearms, forcing them to open the safe. The haul amounted to just under 63,000 DM. The post office branch is located not far from the flat of Max-Florian B., where the three of them found shelter with the help of Mandy S. from February to late summer 1998.
