Murder of Mehmet Turgut

On 25 February 2004, at around ten in the morning, Mehmet Turgut unlocked the “Mr. Kebab Grill” snack stand belonging to an acquaintance in Rostock-Toitenwinkel, where he had been working for a short time. He had already brewed the coffee. A short time later his boss found him on the floor of the stand. He had been severely injured by several gunshots and died a short time later in the ambulance. That neo-Nazis from the NSU had shot the young man only became publicly known seven years later.
