On 15 June 2005, Theodoros Boulgarides was shot dead by the NSU in the locksmith’s shop he had opened just two weeks earlier at Trappentreustraße 4.
Since 2013, a memorial plaque at the scene has commemorated him; it is part of a coordinated commemorative concept of the seven cities affected by the NSU and bears the names of all ten NSU victims.
