Memorial stele for Michèle Kiesewetter

At the scene on the Theresienwiese in Heilbronn, a memorial stele commemorates police officer Michèle Kiesewetter, who was shot dead by the NSU on 25 April 2007; her colleague was critically injured in the attack.

From 2007 to 2012 a simpler plaque stood there; in 2012 it was replaced by a new memorial stele naming all the victims of the NSU murder series. Commemorative events are held there annually.
